About Me.

I grew up on a farm in south central Nebraska. There I developed a strong work ethic and sense of what is right and wrong.
I went to Kearney State College in 1984 after the farm crisis in the early 1980s. I played on the football team and was voted a captain of the team my senior season in 1988.
After receiving my Bachelors degree in August of 1989 I started working at Kearney State College. I received my Masters degree in Education in 1992 and started working on my Doctorate degree at the University of Nebraska Lincoln campus.
Earning my Ph.D. Degree in August of 1995 while working full time at the University of Nebraska was a proud moment.
I am married to my wife, Vicki, and have three children and eleven grandchildren.
I worked in higher education from 1989 to 2025 and held many student support positions.
Working at DMACC from 2015 to 2025 makes me uniquely qualified to represent you as a Board member. I have seen first hand where I feel millions of taxpayer’s hard earned money has been wasted. I have seen first hand how incidents of sexual misconduct were handled inconsistently by top administrators since that was part of my job to investigate those issues. I have also asked for lawful gun owners to be allowed to follow state laws and the requests were denied by the Board and President of DMACC.
I have seen where top DMACC officials have, in my opinion, violated federal law, state law, DMACC policies, and standards of ethical behavior and have not seen the current Board of Directors hold people accountable.
My promise to you if you vote for me is to:
Put students first.
Stop wasting your hard earned Property tax and Income tax money.
Hold those committing sexual misconduct accountable.
Advocate for lawful gun owners on the DMACC campuses.
I appreciate your vote on November 4th.
Thank you.
